Around The World ARC Tours Presents an Early Review of The Leaving by Tara Altebrando

Synopsis:

Six were taken. Eleven years later, five come back--with no idea of where they've been.

Eleven years ago, six kindergarteners went missing without a trace. After all that time, the people left behind moved on, or tried to.

Until today. Today five of those kids return. They're sixteen, and they are . . . fine. Scarlett comes home and finds a mom she barely recognizes, and doesn't really recognize the person she's supposed to be, either. But she thinks she remembers Lucas. Lucas remembers Scarlett, too, except they're entirely unable to recall where they've been or what happened to them. Neither of them remember the sixth victim, Max. He doesn't come back. Everyone wants answers. Most of all Max's sister Avery, who needs to find her brother--dead or alive--and isn't buying this whole memory-loss story.

Goodreads:

Review:

OMG This book is a thriller /suspense book and so much more all wrapped up in one book. I wanted to read this book because of the cover. After seeing the cover and reading the synopsis I knew I wanted to read this book and I was not disappointed.

This story is told from 3 POV's one from Scarlett, One from Lucas, and One from Max's sister. The story all starts out when six kindergarteners are taken and are gone for 11 years. When five of the kids come back they don't remember much let alone why they were taken and what happened to the six classmate that went missing Max.

When they return Max's sister wants to know what happened to him and wants to know whether or not he is alive or dead. She doesn't by the story of the other teens that they don't remember much. She wants her answers and wants them right now.

As Lucas and Scarlett tell their story you get this thriller/suspense story that is amazing and a must read.
