My Review

5 of 5 Adrenaline Rush

Okay so this is the first book I have read by Cindy and it will not be the last. I have never read a book that captured me with the secrets and action. If you are an adrenaline junkie you will love this book.

Christy is an undercover agent and her task is to catch the guy who is causing hell. I mean he is on a mission to kidnap seniors across the country. He has a plan and as the story unfolds I was like WTH why is this happening why is this guy crazy like that. Plus Christy will find some things out about herself that will change things for her.

I don't want to give to much of the story away because this is one of those rare find reads that you hear about only through other readers but once you start it you realize that this is a gem of a read. So go out and get this book and enjoy the ride of a lifetime.

My Review

5 of 5 In Too Deep

Okay here it goes..... This book is F^&*%$# INCREDIBLE! Lord I have never ever been so heart broken in my life. I read this book and lord i had all these emotions and I was bawling like a crazy a$ lady! Have you ever seen a car accident coming and you try and turn the other way but you can't you have to see what happens? Well HOLY HELL In Too Deep is like that and man oh man I have never cried and yelled at a book like I did this book.

Gracie is your ordinary college girl. Likes school and works hard. She has an easy life just coasting by until she meets college bad boy Noah. Lord she knows he is a bad boy because she has heard the rumors and people have warned her to stay away from him. He breaks hearts like he changes his boxers. He is a chew and screw type of guy. So when they start talking and getting closer Noah shows Gracie a different side of himself. Gracie's walls that she has put up comes crashing down and she transfers to his college to be with him.

Everyone tells her that is a bad idea but she does not listen and soon she is on a collision course with Noah. But there is a bright side to it because Gracie has her best friend who is Noah's ex roommate Jake. Soon Gracie and Jake are getting closer and Noah is not feeling it. But at the end of the day when the dust settles Gracie will have to chose whether or not she is going to stay with Noah or move on to someone else close to her that loves her and treats her right.

This is a story about first loves, heart break, betrayal, and learning what true love looks like. This is a must read!

Goodreads:

My Review

5 of 5 On Solid Ground

First off I have to say that Michelle blew me away with In Too Deep and I just could not get enough of that book. I have never read such emotions like that before and I was so glued to the book that everything around me stopped and it did not exist until I finished it. Then the ending had me wondering if there was going to be another one and low and behold I stalked Michelle and found out that there was indeed going to be another few books and I jumped for joy. I had to have more of Jake and Gracie and Beckie. I did not want to read about Noah anymore. I had a Noah and the shit life that comes with being in an abusive relationship really never goes away. You live life day by day but you also have so many fears and when you do find something good you are reluctant to to be with that person because your just not sure your heart can take it. But I give Gracie credit because she found her heart and Jake stood by her through all the crap and even had it out with Noah.

So in On Solid Ground we get to see Gracie and Beckie and Jake staying on at college for the summer to take classes and just figure out what they want and how they are going to be together. Beckie and Gracie are inseparable best friends to the end and not wanting to be apart from one another. Beckie is the ultimate best friend ever!

Then you have Jake oh man he is the love of my life as far as book boyfriends go because he is loving and caring and selflessness man he is all about Gracie and healing her and allowing her to find herself even thought it means being apart from her for some time that is okay because he loves her dearly and will do anything to keep her.

Then we get a few new characters in this book that I loved to death. Sarah is awesome and she gives good advice but the main character that I loved in this book was Calon. Lord I never thought I would love another like him. He is all about business as he is the lead singer in a band named Alternate Tragedy and he helps Gracie with her singing and playing. But what he helps her with the most is her healing. Gracie needed some time to heal and Calon helped her with that. He loves Gracie like a sister and will do anything to protect her and comfort her. Together they make a great team and Calon and Beckie are there for Gracie at every turn.

This is such a great follow up and the story that unfolds is about love, trust, friendship, and finding ones self amongst the rough!

Goodreads:

My Review

5 of 5 Path Unchosen

Path Unchosen is simply an amazing read that I truly enjoyed. I usually don't read zombie books but this one is so much more than I expected having zombies and necromancers which by the way I love necromancer books!

Judy Hudson is an orphan. She does not know who her family is but she sort of has one at the orphanage. But when Judy turns 18 she is on her own. She knows she is different and she tries hard to suppress her powers but it is hard for her. All she wants is a normal life. One where she does not have to fight zombies or worry about the dead. As Judy finds herself in a bind she finds out she has a guardian who is going to help her out. But can Judy trust him is the issue she is having because she has had to fend for herself all this time she is not so quick to just up and trust anyone.

Judy ends up trying to fix her mistakes she has made as a necromancer but she is realizing that someone or something is out there and they are determined to keep the evil afloat. Zombies have arisen and they are ready to attack on command. But who is commanding them and why? Judy will have to figure that out and soon because the zombies are ready to attack and she is not sure who to trust and if she can in fact help her new friends out.

What can Judy do? Will her guardian be able to help her? Who is responsible for raising the dead?

Even though I know a relationship is totally off-limits, I can’t stop myself from sneaking around with James, taking a few cues from my own erotic writing…if you catch my drift. Candy’s showing her stripes for the first time in my real life, and I’ve never had so much fun. But when the sugar high fades, can my secrets stay under wraps?

Goodreads:

My Review

5 of 5 Sneaking Candy

Okay.... Okay... Okay.... I have to say this and I really mean it but I really LOVED this book! I have never laughed so hard in my life because the characters in this story were a riot. I love Lisa's style of writing and her writing about this taboo topic of teacher/student was awesome sauce all the way.

Candice Salinas is a creative grad student working her way through grad school. She has always loved writing as it comes naturally to her. So she decides she is going to do some self publishing under an assumed name and write something not so conventional like erotica. She is so good at it that she has a fan base and her books are selling like hot cakes. But her secret could cost her everything if she gets exposed oh and did I tell you she is acting out her erotica with a very hot and delicious student actually her student. If they get caught all will be over because she will lose her scholarship and her job. So what is a girl to do?

James Walker is a walking alpha male that is hot hot hot! He and Candice are sneaking around and he is fine with that because he wants Candice and he knows she wants him. James knows that he could get into trouble but it is worth it to him.

Can James and Candice keep up their relationship or will someone find out and ruin it for them?

This is such a fun fast paced read that is a must for everyone to read! Thank you Lisa I need more!

ROSE OF THORNE BY MIA MICHELLE
Character Interview- Sebastian and Lucas

So I am sitting down today with Sebastian Thorne from Mia Michelle’s new book Rose of Thorne. Thank you so much for joining us today, Sebastian.

Sebastian: Thank you for having me today.

So, Sebastian you are well known for your wealthy bachelor lifestyle. You have dated hundreds of different women over the years. Tell the readers what makes Skylar Rose so special?

Sebastian: Yes, it is true. I have had more than my fair share of beautiful women over the years. But no one, and I mean NO ONE, can compare to Skylar. From the moment I laid eyes on her, I wanted her and only her. However, sometimes what we want isn’t the right thing. Sometimes we have to tell ourselves ‘no’ to protect the other person.

I see. Well, can you elaborate on that last part? What does she need protecting from? Is she in some sort of danger?

Sebastian: I will never allow her to be in danger of anyone or anything ever again. When I say that, I am including myself. If there is anyone she needs protecting from, it is me. I wish I could stay away, but I can’t seem to fight this incredible magnetic pull between us. It is absolute torture seeing her everyday knowing that I can never have her.

Why is that exactly?

Sebastian: She doesn’t really know the real me. No one does actually. She deserves someone she can love and trust and I am simply not that man. All I want is for her to be happy, even if that isn’t with me.

I understand that Skylar is currently caught the eye of Lucas Drake, CEO/CFO of Drake Corporation. How exactly are you handling the idea of the two of them dating?

Sebastian: Yes, I am well aware of Lucas’ interest in Skylar. He is an alright guy I guess, but Lucas is like me, he has quite the history of being a ladies man. I am not sure if I like the idea of him using Skylar that way. So my answer is no, I definitely don’t think that he is the right man for her.

Lucas: Oh really…and I suppose that you are implying that you are then? Hello everyone, I apologize for my lateness. My flight home from New York was delayed because of the weather.

That is fine Lucas. Thank you for being able to join us today. As you probably heard, we were just discussing with Sebastian about your interest in Skylar Rose. Would you care to elaborate on your relationship with her?

Lucas: Let’s just say that Skylar has my complete and undivided attention and I plan on keeping it that way. Don’t fucking roll your eyes up at me, Thorne! I can’t help it that you let her slip through your fingers. Not that you were any competition to me to begin with.

Sebastian: Don’t fucking tell me that you have any serious intentions with her. I know you all too well my friend. You don’t give a damn about anyone but pleasing that dick of yours!

Lucas: FUCK YOU! You have no idea what I feel for her! Besides that, aren’t you a fine one to talk? If you care so much about her, then why did I see you leaving Driskill’s the other night with that blonde? I bet you thought long and hard about Skylar when blondie was riding your dick! You are one selfish arrogant son of a bitch, you know it?

Alright gentlemen, please settle down!! Mr. Thorne! Mr. Drake! Please sit back down! We don’t want any violence in here.

Lucas: I apologize for getting out of line here at the studio. But Thorne you better back the fuck off or I swear to Christ that I will take you down! You know I am not afraid of you! Skylar is mine now, not yours.

Sebastian: Yours? Give me a fucking break! You barely know each other and you act like you are already in love with her. She isn’t yours Drake and she never will be!

Lucas: Really? Then I guess we will just have to see about that then won’t we?

Sebastian: Yes!! Yes, we will! And then maybe you will finally understand that she has and always will be mine.

Lucas: You fucking asshole! She will NEVER be yours!

Alright folks, that is all we have time for today. We appreciate our guests joining us….Wait! I said NO FIGHTING in here! PLEASE! SECURITY!!!!!

Lucas: Thanks for letting me join you guys today. Sebastian is good to see you again, bro.

Lucas, I’m going to start off by asking a similar question that I asked Sebastian earlier. For someone who has a reputation with the ladies, what makes Skylar different. Has she tamed the wild playboy?

Lucas: It is true, I certainly loved the ladies. I used to laugh at my grandfather when he told me that one day I’d have the breath knocked out of me by some girl. I laughed at his words until the day I had met Skylar. For me, she is ‘that girl’. I have never been happier in all of my life. She is amazing in every way.

My Review

5 of 5 Out Of Tune

Oh man Out Of Tune had me on the edge of my seat. Michelle never ceases to amaze me when it comes to her writing because she always takes me on this journey that I love so much I don't want it to end. Reading this book had me there and then some.

Maggie Roads is a talented song writer and the daughter of legendary country singers. She would love to sing but she can't hold a note and is tone deaf to boot so she does what comes next and that is write songs. But her hearts desire is to be a singer and she knows what she has to do to get there but is not sure if she can actual do it. But then she gets some disturbing news about her parents and she knows it is time to move on and put on her big panties and do what she has to do to reach her dream.

She leaves her parents home to move in with her best friend and sometimes boyfriend Cole. it isn't the best situation but it is something for her to start with. So she moves in and hires a voice coach so she can fulfill her life long dreams of becoming a singer. As she spend more and more time with her voice coach Nathan she is so crushing on him and it seems that Nathan may have some feelings for Maggie as well.

But what will Maggie do because she has Cole but she wants Nathan and then her parents going through their stuff and last but not least she wants to sing. She wants to sing her heart out so bad that she willing to do whatever it takes to make that dream come true.

Will she stay out of tune or will she tune in!

Cole’s steady beat on the drums relaxed her. She could feel his eyes on her as she played, but she did not turn around. He would never know what this meant to her. She had wanted and dreaded this moment forever. She could only imagine what tomorrow would be like, with an audience full of strangers.

She closed her eyes as the music flowed into her. Iza came in on her fiddle, her notes weaving in and out like bright threads in a tapestry. Justin started singing the first lines and she tapped her foot, counting like Nathan had taught her. “Every beat is a physical thing,” he had said. “See the music, feel it, just like you’ve done your whole life. Pearls on a string—let each one slide through your fingers. Measured.”

Mandolin line. Then the bass started. Maggie’s turn.

When she came in, her voice was louder and stronger than it had ever been. Justin’s voice filled her up like honey. She swam through it, adding her own to his. Maybe he was a womanizer and constantly looking at her like he wanted to get her in bed, but he was an amazing singer. They smiled at each other as they melted into the song.

She had never been inside music like this before. The stage lights sparkled in her eyes and she understood for the first time in her life why musicians put up with all that travelling and recording, and the stressful nights like when her mom was puking her guts out with the flu—the real flu—but had to go on stage in five minutes. Maggie remembered her smiling as she wiped her mouth and shrugged. “It’s part of the singin’ life, hon. We don’t always get breaks when we need them.” She had patted Maggie on her twelve-year-old head and squared her shoulders as her makeup artist dusted some powder over her pale cheeks. Then she had left for the stage in a flutter of sequins and curls.

6 Good Reasons to Chase Your Dreams No Matter What

“I believe ardently that you should drop everything and run toward your true self.” -Kyran Pittman

My novel Out of Tune is about chasing your dreams despite everything and everyone going against you—when you know without a doubt it’s your passion and what you want. Because Out of Tune was with my publisher when they closed their doors, it’s a bit crazy that it was my dream to get it published and now that dream was crumbling beneath me. When I realized what my novel is actually about, I decided to publish it anyway. Myself. Here’s some reasons why.

Your dreams say a lot about who you are and how you shape your life. Why let them sit by the wayside if so much hinges on them?

Chasing your dreams does not mean you have to be irresponsible. Believe it or not, it is possible to work toward your dreams with a day job or simply learning to live with less, etc.

“The only thing that stands between a man and what he really wants from life is often merely the will to try it and the faith to believe that it is possible.” -Richard DeVos.

Achieving your dreams isn’t supposed to be easy. That’s why everyone says chase your dreams, not lazily grab them and smile.

Seek out the right people in your life who will support you and your dreams. If you’re having a very hard time, the reason might be lack of support. Treasure those who do support you.

And if you don’t know your passion/dream, Oprah Winfrey has a great quote about that. “If you don’t know what your passion is, realize that one reason for your existence on earth is to find it.”

DREAMS ARE IMPORTANT – even the ones as simple as finding love and keeping it. I dare say they are the lifeblood of motivation, the key to discovering happiness, and the way we can truly discover what we’re made of. So keep chasing, and when you do catch your dream, treasure it, and then maybe even find another.
