Summary from Godreads:

From acclaimed author Katie McGarry comes an explosive new tale of a good girl with a reckless streak, a street-smart guy with nothing to lose, and a romance forged in the fast lane

The girl with straight As, designer clothes and the perfect life-that's who people expect Rachel Young to be. So the private-school junior keeps secrets from her wealthy parents and overbearing brothers...and she's just added two more to the list. One involves racing strangers down dark country roads in her Mustang GT. The other? Seventeen-year-old Isaiah Walker-a guy she has no business even talking to. But when the foster kid with the tattoos and intense gray eyes comes to her rescue, she can't get him out of her mind.

Isaiah has secrets, too. About where he lives, and how he really feels about Rachel. The last thing he needs is to get tangled up with a rich girl who wants to slum it on the south side for kicks-no matter how angelic she might look.

But when their shared love of street racing puts both their lives in jeopardy, they have six weeks to come up with a way out. Six weeks to discover just how far they'll go to save each other.

My Review

5 of 5 Crash Into You

Crash Into You is an amazing just simply amazing story about two people who are lost in a sea of hurt, lies, and tragedies. Lord where to begin with this review without spoiling it for you readers is so difficult because Katie pulled out all the stops with this book. As we get to see Isiah in his own book we had glimpses into Isiah's life and at first I was rooting for him to be with Beth but when Beth meet Ryan I knew she was not for Isiah. Isiah was crushed by Beth being with Ryan but it was for the best because Isiah needed a girl who could complement him and meet his inner needs that he never shared with Beth because he kept them hidden deep down inside but when he meets the quiet but fierce Rachel Isiah is blown away.

Rachel is an awesome strong girl that is living in the shadows of her sister. She has over bearing brothers that don't let her do anything and her parents ignore her and she is a loner at school. No one will talk to her for fear of her brothers so she has no one but her brothers and her car that she loves to race. It is this love of racing that gets Rachel into trouble with Eric who Isiah knows. When Rachel and Isiah go to street race and the police are called all hell breaks lose and Isiah can't seem to want to leave Rachel alone so he does what he keeps telling himself not to and that is he helps Rachel out so she won't get caught by the police. But this starts off a war with Eric and Isiah and Rachel have to come up with some serious cash or Rachel is going to lose the only other thing be sides Isiah she loves her car.

As Isiah and Rachel try and figure things out they start to fall for one another and poor Isiah has fallen hard but he has been burned before by Beth so he has his heart guarded. Plus Isiah gets help from an unlikely source and that is Beths and Ryans friend Logan. Lord I loved Logan is this book because he is such a dare devil that all his antics are something else. I don't want to say anymore but I will say this that the characters that are in here are also from the previous books and you will not believe what is popping off and who it involves. So go out there and get the book because you will not be disappointed!

Synopsis:

No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with freaky scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal.

But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.

Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again.

My Review

5 of 5 Pushing The Limits

OMG where to start with this review. First I would like to thank Netgalley for allowing me to read and ARC copy. I have to say that I have never ever read such an emotional book that tore at my heart. I cried and I laughed and I was sad all in one night. Pushing the limits was like reading about reality for foster kids and for teens who have horrendous things happen to them. The rich are not tax exempt from traumatic things happening to them and I was glad when Katie brought that out. I have seen a lot of foster kids make it out of the ghetto as it is referred to. So enough of my babbling and on to the story that had my heart beating so fast and will stay with me forever!

Noah... Noah... Noah... Lord Noah is a guy that is broken. He has lost everything. He lost his parents the night of the fire and then he lost his brothers to a foster family. He went to one home and they went to another. He works to make money to save for college and to get his brothers back. He is the EPITOME of bad boy! The one your parents told you to stay away but deep down Noah is brilliant and has qualities he would to share but the system has made him hard so he keeps everything bottled up inside.

Echo... Lord have mercy on Echo.... she has gone from Miss popular with everything to Miss Freak with nothing in a nano second. What happens behind closed doors has finally met reality. Echo has suffered at the hands of someone she had trusted and love and all she has now are nightmares and scars. Her father is drill Sargent and very controlling over her and she has a step mother she hates and her real mother is MIA and forbidden to see her and the icing on her cake is her brother Ares is dead. What is a girl to do when she is so broken.

Noah and Echo are put together by the social worker at school. She wants Noah to get his grades up so he can go to college and she knows that Echo is on the only person who can help him. What they don't expect to happen is that Noah and Echo fall in love and help each other heal a past that is wrought with disappointment and pain. Noah can give Echo what she needs and Echo can give Noah everything he needs. Will these two polar opposites be able to wade through the mud and be together or will the past and the need for normalcy haunt them and tear the apart?

This story is so heart breaking and full of raw emotions and situations that you will need a box of tissues while you read it. Katie thank you for writing an EPIC story and I look forward to reading more from you.

Synopsis:

Katie McGarry captivated readers with her “riveting, emotional”* Young Adult debut, Pushing the Limits. In this gripping novella, she tells the story of Lila and Lincoln, who discover that sometimes it’s worth crossing the line for love…

Lila McCormick, Echo's best friend from Pushing the Limits, first met Lincoln Turner when tragedy struck both their lives. But she never expected their surprise encounter would lead to two years of exchanging letters—or that she’d fall for the boy she’s only seen once. Their relationship is a secret, but Lila feels closer to Lincoln than anyone else. Until she finds out that he lied to her about the one thing she depended on him for the most.

Hurting Lila is the last thing Lincoln wanted. For two years, her letters have been the only thing getting him through the day. Admitting his feelings would cross a line he’s never dared breach before. But Lincoln will do whatever it takes to fix his mistakes, earn Lila’s forgiveness—and finally win a chance to be with the girl he loves.

My Review

5 of 5 Crossing The Line

Crossing The Line is an amazing novella that will leave you breathless. I mean Katie knows how to write a story that captures you right from the beginning and keeps you reading needing no wanting more and more by the minute. I for one need a novel on Lincoln AKA Linc and Lila. They are such a beautiful couple and the struggles they face both personally and together had me rooting for them all along.

Lila is Echo's best friend and she meets Lincoln at Echo's brothers funeral and they hit it off but they live far away from each other and make a pact to write and talk to each other and see where the long distance relationship goes. As they write each other and share their lives with each other they get closer to one another and Lila decides she is going to go to the same college as Linc and then they can start a relationship.

Only Linc is not sharing everything with Lila. See Linc has a troubled home life and his only peace and solace is Lila and when his world falls all around him he knows he has to come face to face with Lila and explain a few things. He knows this could be the end of their relationship but he has to tell her the truth because Lila is going to face college for the first semester alone without Linc.

Will Lila forgive Linc once he tells her the truth or will she decide that the friendship they built was based on lies and walk away? This is a must read novella for all you Katie McGarry fans out there!

Synopsis:

Ryan lowers his lips to my ear. "Dance with me, Beth."

"No." I whisper the reply. I hate him and I hate myself for wanting him to touch me again....

"I dare you..."

If anyone knew the truth about Beth Risk's home life, they'd send her mother to jail and seventeen-year-old Beth who knows where. So she protects her mom at all costs. Until the day her uncle swoops in and forces Beth to choose between her mom's freedom and her own happiness. That's how Beth finds herself living with an aunt who doesn't want her and going to a school that doesn't understand her. At all. Except for the one guy who shouldn't get her, but does....

Ryan Stone is the town golden boy, a popular baseball star jock-with secrets he can't tell anyone. Not even the friends he shares everything with, including the constant dares to do crazy things. The craziest? Asking out the Skater girl who couldn't be less interested in him.

But what begins as a dare becomes an intense attraction neither Ryan nor Beth expected. Suddenly, the boy with the flawless image risks his dreams-and his life-for the girl he loves, and the girl who won't let anyone get too close is daring herself to want it all....

My Review

5 of 5 Dare You To

Dare You To is such a brilliant read! I could not put this book down and it took me 10 hours to read this book. I have to say that Katie is BRILLIANT! She brought us Pushing The Limits where we met Noah and Echo and in Dare You To we get to met Beth and Ryan. I have to say that Beth's story was totally incredible and I can't wait to read about Isiah. I have to say that at first I wanted Beth to be with Isiah because in Pushing The Limits they worked well together and the two of them had this bound that was unbreakable and I truly believed when we picked up Dare You To Isaiah and Beth would be together working things out in her aunts basement. But what I got instead is a love story like no one's business! Katie truly knows how to put a story together that has you at the edge of your seat and you think you know right where Katie is going and she goes the other way to make the story more believable.

Beth I love me some Beth. She is complicated but she is not. She has been deserted by everyone she knows. Her father left her and her mother leaves her and finally the straw that breaks the camels back is Isaiah and her are hanging on by a string. Beth is taken from her mother's custody and sent to live with her fathers brother Scott who is a retired New York Yankees player. Beth fights this tooth and nail but her uncle tells her if she does not go with him and give life a new try he will have her mother sent to jail for everything she is involved in. Beth feels like he is black mailing her but she has no choice.

Once Beth moves to the new town she realizes that she has a friend there but she is not the same and Beth is not the same. For one Beth keeps to herself and she hides everything. So you may think you know Beth you in fact don't know squat about her and her family life. You get to see in this book what happened to her parents and how she ended up living with her aunt and Isaiah. You also get to see Beth fall in love for the first time and who the boy is and how this boy changes Beth for the better and does not hold her back or down. As I sat reading Beth and Ryan's story I could help but fall in love with Ryan and how protective he is and how he would do anything for Beth except coddle her and that is what she needs. She needs someone who is going to stand by her and protect her but also give it to her straight. When you read this story you are going to love it!

Reviews for SIA

“A compelling read full of intrigue, romance, and lots of surprises. I couldn’t wait to see what happened next!” - Jennifer Read Hawthorne, #1 New York Times bestselling author

“There have been very few books that made me think they made to someday become a movie (i.e. Warm Bodies, The Host). And I guess Sia can join the club, because this book, I say, is perfect for it. I felt like I was reading a script for a movie, the plot is fantastic and the characters are great, there's a little of humor as well as tragic situations.” -Bookish Randomness

“Well I finished this book amazingly fast. This whole book will leave you amused, intrigued, in awe, and most importantly in love with the whole story line until the very last word. I'll have to go with 5 stars for this book.” - Lovely Reads

“Beautifully written…this one will have you reflecting on your current and past actions. Although a fiction, Sia inspires.” –A Starry-eyed Heart Review

5 of 5 Lying With Temptation

Lying With Temptation is an incredible story about love, loss, and growing up. This story had me laughing and crying and screaming at my Kindle like a loony girl because there was so much going on and so much done to a good person that it reminded me of my high school days and how girls can be cruel and back stabbers. You have to be careful who your friends are. They say keep your friends close but your enemies closer but I say keep everyone close because your best friend can destroy you with the secrets you share with them.

In this case we meet strong, funny, sassy, and gorgeous Gabby who is best friends with Elle. Elle is a hot mess because she sleeps with every guy she wants to and she does not care. So Gabby protects Elle from the other girls who want to kick her butt but then Elle breaks the girl code by sleeping with the one guy Gabby has always wanted Reece. Gabby gives Reece her V card and he just blabs to everyone that she was not good and then turns around and starts sleeping with Elle. Elle and Reece decide they are going to have a relationship right under Gabby's nose. But when Gabby finds out she ends her friendship with Elle and decides to start college early because Reece has started rumors about her losing her V card to him. So Gabby and her best friend Cade decide to start college early.

Cade has football practice so he and Gabby are going to hang out and work out. Then Gabby meets her roommates and holy shiz when she sees Linc she is caught off guard by his looks and his personality. To Linc Gabby is his angel but he has been burned to and he is very cautious when it comes to girls but he is at college with his cousin and his best friend Russ who is a man whore so Linc decides he will hang out with Gabby while Russ goes out. Soon Gabby and Linc form a bond that is inseparable. As Gabby and Linc find their way to each other through the pain they find that there is a rainbow at the end of the rain storm.

Come along and read the greatest love story I have ever read! Team Linc all the way!

Synopsis:

Anna Lewis is just tired. She’s tired of being predictable. She’s tired of khaki skirts, sweater sets and pearls. She’s tired of her overbearing mother trying to push the Perfect boyfriend on her. She wants to stand up for herself do normal things kids her age do. She’s eighteen not thirty-eight. With her mother still on her case, an ex-boyfriend who’s an ass that won’t leave her alone, it’s not going to be easy. She was ready to move on with her life, leave the step-ford wife her mother was trying to turn her into behind. The only way she sees of doing that is going off to college. She’s always admired the strength that her sister Gabby radiates and wishes she could be more like her. After Gabby asks her to come to college with her and live in the house with her and her roommates how can she turn it down?

Russ Addison has pretty much always been a football star. Going to college with that status could get him any girl he wants, with no strings attached. That is until he was introduced to her. He was in pure awe over the angel he met last year, Anna Lewis. He was both excited and scared about the possibility of living with her. Her sister and everyone else in the house had threatened him and his balls to stay clear of anything romantic with Anna. He would just have to stay away from her in the romantic sense and be her friend…Her best damn friend. Because he knows he’ll never be good enough to be anything more to her.

After everyone is moved in and ready to start the fall semester, Russ starts to figure out that everything may not be what it seems with Anna. He also realizes that he can’t stay away from her no matter how much he tries. Anna knows she can’t seem to have enough time with Russ and she can’t help but wonder why he thinks so little of himself. Will they be able to stay away from each other or will they have to act on the temptation of each other.

My Review

5 of 5 Acting On Temptation

Acting On Temptation is an amazing follow up to Lying With Temptation. I mean I love sequels because I want to know what is going on but this is an EPIC sequel of Russ and Anna.

Please do not read this review unless you have read Lying With Temptation. I have to give a few spoilers to make a point and I don't want to ruin it for anyone.

As we get into Acting On Temptation we start with Russ and Anna's story. Russ was a man whore and hardcore partyer always trying to get his cousin and best friend Linc the golden boy to follow but last year Linc met Gabby who is Anna's sister and fell in love and the two have been inseparable since. As Anna can't wait to be with her sister Gabby and the gang and away from her controlling mother and her controlling ex-boyfriend Jack. Jack still has not gotten it through his thick head that it is over he tries to force Anna into having a relationship and sexual relationship with him and when she fights back Jack is shocked because Anna flees to her sister and Gabby and the gang rescue her.

This is when Anna and Russ really start to develop their friendship and start to fall head over heels with each other. But life has thrown them some curve balls and they are going to have to fight for their relationship because others don't want them together. As they get closer it gets harder for them to be together but at the end of the day Russ and Anna love each other and they know that in order to be together they are going to have to fight like hell to stay together.

Will they be able to keep a relationship once it gets started or is acting on the temptation the wrong thing to do?

Fighting Temptation is the conclusion to this series and I am happy to give you an early mini review. This is just a taste of what I really wrote. Fighting Temptation is Cade and Daria's story and holy HELL what a story it is. If you have been following closely with this series you know that Cade the minute he met Daria wanted her but he had to tread lightly because she put him in his place and told him she was not interested. But Cade being Cade did not stop there he kept at it until Daria broke down and they became a couple. But being a couple was not easy because Daria has a past and when that past comes to haunt them things start to go array.

In Fighting Temptation Cade and Daria will have to fight for the love they have for each other and they will see who they can trust and who they can't trust. Someone from Daria's past will come back in to her life and she will have to make a decision that will impact her life as well as Cade's.

What will she choose Cade or her past.........

Here is a little teaser to go with the picture that S.M. teased us with on her facebook page https://www.facebook.com/S.M.Donaldson.Author
I get a mischievous idea. I know exactly how I’m going to wake her up. I slip down the bed, pulling the comforter back to settle in between her legs. Looking down at her beautiful clean-shaven sex, I smile. I start by licking and kissing my way up her thighs until I hear her moaning. Then, I start to work on licking, sucking, and kissing her slick folds. She makes the sexiest sounds. She shudders and I know she’s come for the first time.

I look up to meet her eyes.

She smiles. “Well, good morning to you, too.”

I lick my lips. “Mmm, good morning.”

I work my way up her body, eventually settling myself in between her legs. Slipping into her folds, I kiss her gently.

“I love you.”

“I love you, too.”

We make love. We aren’t in a hurry; it’s just the two of us, feeling each other completely. We are sharing the most private parts of our soul together. He pumps slowly in and out of me, kissing and sucking across my body. Eventually, our sweat-covered bodies climax.

I roll over and pull her on top of me, brushing her hair back off of her face.

“You’re so beautiful. How did I get so lucky?”

She smiles. “I wouldn’t call it luck exactly.”

“I would. So, what are your plans for today?”

So I asked the million dollar S.M. How do you feel now that the Temptation Series is finished and this is what she had to say......

Finishing up the Temptation series has been a happy and sad moment. I fell in love with these characters. One of the biggest things that I loved about this series is the fact of how much friendship means to this group. Friendship is one of the top ranking things in my life. So for me to be able to make that come out on paper has been awesome. I'm sad to see them go, but come on they deserve a break LOL a little less drama. You never know though where you may catch a glimpse of them next so stay tuned. Mainly I just want to thank everyone who has fell in love with them as much as I did. I hope you enjoy Fighting Temptation as much as I enjoyed writing it for you.

I am a new writer. My first novel is out called Sam's Choice my second novel titled Sam's Fight for Freedom will be out by March 1st. I am from a small rural town on Florida's Gulf Coast, I love living here, but I also love to travel. I have a very crazy busy life, I still work full time as a dental assistant, I am part owner of an event planning company most of the time I read a book a night and I love to write. I write Young Adult novels as Mia Grace and Women's Fiction as Rosemary Fifield.

While consumer education is my profession, writing novels is my passion. A day made in heaven is one in which I can lose myself in a place and time of my own creation and hang out with the people who inhabit it.

Finishing a book is often more of a let-down than one might think. It means I will no longer spend time with my friends on a daily basis; it's like having them move far away.

The only antidote is to start another novel or, better yet, write a sequel. Perhaps someday I'll bring all my characters together into a single work, as they inhabit the same area of Vermont. However, a little time travel may be required!

ABOUT THE THRILL OF IT:

A new adult story of Love. Sex. Addiction. Blackmail. And Power...

Some say love can be an addiction. Others say it's the thing that makes life worth living. Let me tell you everything I know about love...Love isn't patient, love isn't kind. Love is a game, a chase. A thrill. Love is wild and war-like, and every man and woman must fight for themselves. At least that's how it was for me. A high-priced virgin call girl by the time I started college, I was addicted to love and to sex. Even though I've never had either. I controlled love, played it, and held the world in the palm of my hands. Then I fell down from those highs, and I'm being blackmailed for all my mistakes, forced to keep secrets from everyone, except the only guy I don't regret.

Trey...

With all the other women, I knew what they were. They were temporary. They were pills, they were bottles, they took away all the pain, and numbed the awful memories that wore down my ragged, wasted heart. Until I met Harley. She's the only girl I ever missed when she walked away. But now she's back in my life, every day, and there are no guarantees for us, especially since I don't know how to tell her my secrets. What happened to my family. All I know is she's the closest I've ever come to something real, and I want to feel every second of it.

How can you love with no regrets when regret is all you know?

My Review

5 of 5 No Turning Back

Casey Peeler is BRILLIANT! I mean she can wrote a story like no other. The minute I started reading the book I was so entranced and could not put it down. Dam My heart was all over the place because one moment I wanted Cash and the next minute I wanted Joe. Lord Casey had me all over the place and I just could not get my bearings together that is how good Casey made this story feel.

We meet Charley she is a down home country girl living the life. She has the perfect boyfriend and the best friends a girl could ask for. She is looking forward to graduating high school and starting her life in college. But her dreams have a few bumps along the way when her all american boyfriend does something to her and their relationship ends. She is confused because she had her life planned out and now she wants to start fresh and not go to college close to home so she decides three weeks before school is about to start that she is going to another college and she will start her life fresh and new where no one knows her.

Her best friend Cash helps her and as their friendship starts to turn to something else Charley puts the breaks on because she wants to find out who she is and where she wants to go with her new life. But Cash being Cash God I love him he stands by her side giving her the space she needs but also still being there for her. So when she meets her new roommates at college and she joins the swim team she is excited to be starting a new life with a positive outlook. Then she meets Joe lordy lordy Joe is such a great guy and he likes Charley and he brings things out of her she thought were dead but she wants him. But will the past dictate the future for Charley and who will she choose????????????

Excerpt #4:
“Hey, let’s hit the dance floor.” I take Caroline’s arm while the rest of the Kluft girls follow us, and we hit the make shift dance floor in the living room. They are playing Mobb Deep’s “Quiet Storm.” It’s old, but I love the beat. We hit the middle of the floor and start swaying our hips to the music. We giggle like school girls as we notice the guys in the room taking note. A few others join us, Crystal and Lucas included.

“If they’re watchin’, let’s show them how we Southern girls have a good time,” I say to Caroline.

“You got it!”

We add just a little more emphasis to our hips and start dancing with each other. Before I know it, the song is over, and we walk back to the kitchen to grab another drink.

“Caroline, I’m so glad Crystal got me to come with y’all tonight. I’m not big on partying, but it looks like I might have to change that thought if we have this much fun!”
“Girl, anytime! I can tell already that Georgia and us are gonna be tight because we are a lot alike. Only thing is she’s super quiet. We are from ‘round here. Most of the students here are Yankees. Not that it’s a bad thing. They just piss me off when they make us seem stupid by the way we talk. I mean they chose to come to school here.”

“I understand you completely! But aren’t those Yankees too damn cute? I love me a country boy, but I might have to widen my horizons.”

I’m about to pour myself another round when I hear the sexiest voice known to women. I look up and there is Jackalope Joe. If his voice does that to me, I can only imagine what will happen if those perfect lips touch mine.

“Let me get that for you.”

“Thanks, Joe? Joe is your name, right?” Play dumb Charley.

“Yeah, and you’re Cougar Charley.” We both laugh.

“You know all I want to call you is Jackalope Joe,” I say with a half smile.

I think I might fall out looking into those make ya wanna melt, piercing blue eyes. Keep it together, Charley. I’ve gotta keep in control. Good lookin’ or not, guys are like a bad habit I can’t break. The last time I got involved with someone that could make panties drop by just lookin’ at me almost ended my life. I have to stay in control, no matter what my emotions are screaming at me.

“Miss Cougar, ya wanna try out the dance floor?” Joe smirks. This is not good.

“Sure, see if ya can keep up.” I smile.

Author Bio:

Casey Peeler grew up and still lives in North Carolina with her husband and daughter. Her first passion is teaching students with special needs. Over the years, she found her way to relax was in a good book.

After reading Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neal Hurston her senior year of high school and multiple Nicholas Sparks’ novels, she found a hidden love and appreciation for reading.

Casey is an avid reader, blogger (Hardcover Therapy,) and now author. No Turning Back (Full Circle #1) is her debut novel releasing September 30th. Finding Charley (Full Circle #2) will release spring 2014.

Her goal is to one day be an author who is recognized nationwide like Jamie McGuire, Colleen Hoover, Tiffany King, and Amanda Bennett.

When Casey isn’t reading, you can find her listening to country music, spending the day at the lake, being a wife and dance mom, and spending time with friends and family.

Her perfect day consists of water, sand between her toes, a cold beverage, and a great book!
Interview Questions:

1. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself? I am a wife, mother, book blogger, special education teacher, country music lover, and the proudest dance mama you will ever meet! I love spending time with my family, seeing Luke Bryan shake it for me, and feeling sand between my toes.

2. What do you do when you are not writing? When I’m not writing I’m wearing the many hats of a mom. You can find me blogging at Hardcover Therapy, singing loudly in the car, or enjoying the sunshine with a cold beverage!

3. Do you have a day job as well? I’m a special education teacher. I teach high school students who are working toward being job ready once they graduate.

4. When did you first start writing and when did you finish your first book? I started writing NTB in April 2013 and finished it in August 2013.

5. How did you choose the genre you write in? That is a very tricky question. I <3 a="" actually="" adult.="" adult="" an="" and="" as="" author.="" basis="" began="" bunch="" but="" can="" certain="" clean="" college="" cross="" currently="" div="" doing="" don="" either="" feel="" for="" go="" great="" growth="" high="" i="" in="" is="" it="" know="" life="" lines="" make="" mistakes="" na="" nbsp="" new="" ntb="" of="" or="" pretty="" read.="" s="" school="" story.="" stupid="" t="" teaching="" that="" think="" time="" to="" way="" well="" with="" would="" ya="" young="" your="">

6. Do you listen to music while writing? Sometimes, just depends on my mood and if I’m in the groove. If so, you can guess it will be anything country! My personal favorites are Florida Georgia Line, Miranda Lambert, Luke Bryan, Brantley Gilbert, or ANYTHING country!

7. Bacon or chocolate? Bacon! Hands down! Chocolate covered bacon could be the best of both worlds!

8. Do you ever experience writer’s block? It’s more like time issues. With teaching, blogging, and running my sweet little girl to dance, I’ve really had to learn how to balance my time between the writing world and my family. Needless to say, my family always brings me back to reality! ;)

9. Do you work with an outline, or just write? I outline. I have tried to just write, but then I just ramble.

10. Is there any particular author or books that influenced you in any way either growing up or as an adult? Honestly, growing up I hated to read and write. I was a student who read what was required and wrote the minimum. My senior year of high school I read Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neal Hurston, and I fell in love with the book. I realized that once I found a type of book I enjoyed; I enjoyed reading. As an adult, there are several authors who have influenced me. Amanda Bennett has to be #1. She actually helped me through the self-publishing process due to our blogger/author relationship. Tiffany King would be #2; she is a phenomenal writer and I’m always awaiting her next release! Finally, I would say Jamie McGuire & Aleatha Romig because I aspire to be like them one day! They are living a dream that I’d love to be a part of as well!

11. Can you tell us about your challenges in getting your first book published? The biggest challenge was formatting. I honestly did everything myself with the help of my betas and a few close friends. The week before publishing I thought I was going to throw it out the window due to Microsoft Word going non- responding… I was like a hamster in a wheel! Working over and over!

12. If you had to go back and do it all over, is there any aspect of your novel or getting it published that you would change? Not one thing… except the hamster in the wheel issue!

13. How do you market your work? What avenues have you found to work best for your genre? I market by blog tours, giveaways, street team, posts from friends, bloggers, and people sharing how much they <3 div="" nbsp="" ntb="">

14. Have you written a book you love that you have not been able to get published? No, that’s what I love about being Indie.

15. Is anything in your book based on real life experiences or purely all imagination? Well, NTB storyline is completely fictional, but the places are not. Like I said, when I was in college we did some stupid s*** and I actually asked my friends if it was okay to use those experiences. Some characteristics are based on people I know, but it’s more of just my way of giving them a shout out for their impact on my life. Sorry to say but there is no Dylan, Jackalope Joe, Cash $, or Charley in real life. I will have to say that Hank’s Tavern is a real location, but from what I understand from readers is that anyone from the South has a Hank’s Tavern!

16. What was your favorite chapter (or part) to write and why? Chapter 12 Let the Meets Begin is my favorite chapter because this is where Charley’s life in Grassy Pond and Southern collide. All of the people she cares about are in one location.

17. How did you come up with the title? Basically, with everything Charley is given in life, she decides to leave home and not turn back. It’s about independence.

18. What project are you working on now? Currently, I’m working on Finding Charley (Full Circle #2) that will release in April 2014. I’ve found that country music is a great inspiration for novels! I have two that I have floating around in my head just dying to get out!

19. Are there certain characters you would like to go back to, or is there a theme or idea you’d love to work with? Yes! I can say for sure that there will be a novella from Tessa’s POV! I believe her insight into what goes on while Charley is away would be quite interesting! I also love the idea of a Piper, Joe, or Cash as well!

20. What has been the toughest criticism given to you as an author? What has been the best compliment? Toughest criticism is when someone gives you a one star review, but doesn’t even finish the book. Being a book blogger first, I would never give a one star to something I couldn’t finish. I feel that is an injustice to an author. Best compliment? There are so many! One does stand out in my mind. One of my mother’s students got NTB off her desk one day, because of course, Mama’s gotta brag! That student doesn’t like to read, but she couldn’t put it down. I just hope I can continue to inspire YA to read. I was just like that student, but it only takes one book to change that outlook!

21. Is there anything that you would like to say to your readers and fans? Thank you! Readers are what make it all worthwhile! I never knew the impact that my book would have on people locally or international. It has been amazing! Support has been overwhelming at times! One thing that readers can do that might not know the impact is to write a review. Your words are an inspiration to others just like mine as an author! Tell the world if you love a book!
